The Share-Your-Mashup-Macro Contest

25 lines of code can = $250!

Enterprise mashups let you expand your skillset with a new, cool technology while innovating to benefit your organization.  But wouldn't it be sweet if you could make some cash while mashing too?

The 'Share Your Mashup Macro' Contest is the answer.  You use the new Presto 2.7 Developer Edition to create a mashup macro that works in Presto Wires, submit it to us, and all the working mashup macro contributors get $25.  And once a month we'll pick the 'Master Mashup Macro of the Month'; that mashup macro contributor gets a $250 Amazon gift card.  The contest has already begun!  Submissions can be made all summer.

How Do You Get Started?

  1. Download the Presto 2.7 Developer Edition.  Don't worry, it's free.
  2. Get macroin’.  (You can learn a bit more about Mashup Macros here.  There are also some helpful sample macros in the Mashup Macro Depot.)
  3. If you have a question, post it in the the Forums.
  4. Whatcha waitin' for? You coulda had a macro done by now!

The Awards

All non-trivial, working macros earn a $25 Amazon gift card.  And once a month, we'll pick the 'Master Mashup Macro of the Month'; that mashup macro creator gets a $250 Amazon gift card.  Oh, and you'll get a few minutes of fame too 'cause we might even include your macro in the next edition of Presto.

The Rules

All non-trivial, working macros earn a $25 Amazon gift card.  Here's a few tips if you want a shot at the $250 'Master Mashup Macro of the Month' prize:

  • Your mashup should strive to be bug-free and include enough instructions to let others install it and use it.     
  • Your macro must be developed with Presto Developer Edition 2.7.  

How to Submit Your Mashup

Submit your macro to communitymanagers@jackbe.com and label it 'My Mashup Macro Contest Entry'.  Make sure you give us:

  • Your name (and company, if you want).
  • A summary of the in-and-outs of your macro.  A single paragraph will do.
  • A reliable way to contact you (duh!).
  • Your Mashup Macro code.

Please don't submit any Mashup Macros that show proprietary, sensitive or embarrassing data!  And, yes, you can submit more than one.

Yep, the lawyers require this stuff.  We reserve the right to amend or improve the rules of this Contest at any time and without prior notice.  We reserve the right to suspend or cancel the Contest.  All submitted Mashup Macros become the property of JackBe and may be used for promotion or exhibition or other purposes.  JackBe assumes no responsibility for data submitted by contest participants.  We reserve the right to exclude submissions that are deemed inappropriate or trivial.

A Recap of the Important Stuff

  1. Mashup Macros must be developed with Presto Developer Edition 2.7.  
  2. Working, non-trivial mashup macros get cash; the best Mashup Macro every month gets even more cash.
