Luis Derechin - CEO and Co-Founder
Luis Derechin is the CEO and co-founder of JackBe Corporation. He is the executive leader of JackBe for daily operations, partnership development, and long term strategy.
An entrepreneur at heart, Luis has a reputation for founding and guiding companies that become both leaders in their categories and recognized successes.
JackBe is Mr. Derechin's third start-up; he earlier founded D'Hogar, a retail company that earned the loyalty of more than 500,000 customers, and AviMed, an online software provider.

Jacob Derechin - Executive Vice President and Co-Founder
Jacob is Executive Vice President and co-founder of JackBe Corporation. He is primarily involved in ensuring proper relationships with customers and partners for proper implementation. Mr. Derechin is recognized for his innovative work with internet architecture and technology and for being one of the early pioneers of Ajax responsible for many of JackBe's technical innovations. Previous to JackBe, Jacob was CTO of D'Hogar where he led the development of an ERP system supporting more than 32,000 sales professionals and 500,000 customers. He also served as CTO & Chief Software Engineer for Avimed. Mr. Derechin studied Systems Engineering at the prestigious Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City. John Crupi - Chief Technology Officer
John is the CTO of JackBe Corporation. As CTO he is entrusted with understanding market forces and business drivers to drive JackBe's technical vision and strategy. John Crupi has 20 years experience in OO and enterprise distributed computing.
Previously, John spent eight years with Sun Microsystems, serving as a Distinguished Engineer and CTO for Sun's Enterprise Web Services Practice. Mr. Crupi is co-author of the highly popular Core J2EE Patterns book, has written many articles for various magazines and is a well-known speaker around the globe. He is a frequent blogger and was selected to join the International Advisory board for Ajax Developers Journal. John was also named as a member of the Software Development Magazine's Dream Team

Deepak Alur - Vice President of Engineering
Deepak manages the engineering and development teams for JackBe chartered with timely delivery of JackBe's product roadmap. Mr. Alur comes to JackBe with extensive experience in building complex and highly scalable enterprise applications, having spent the last 18 years in various roles related to enterprise software design, architecture, development and deployment for many high-profile companies.
In his several engineering roles at Sun over the last 10 years, Deepak was instrumental in successfully executing several large-scale mission critical software projects for Sun's most demanding and crucial customers as well as key internal mission-critical projects at Sun.
Deepak was Sun's lead architect for designing, architecting and building Java/J2EE-based enterprise application platforms for Sun's key customers including eBay.com, RouteOne, and others. Deepak is passionate about building high-quality systems using pattern-based approaches and is highly experienced in object-oriented design, Java, J2EE, Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture.
Deepak is also a well-known co-author of Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies, published by Prentice Hall.

Dan Malks - Vice President of Application Platform
Dan oversees JackBe's Application Platform, leading JackBe's technology strategy and delivering key elements of JackBe's innovative product suite.
Before joining JackBe, Dan was a Principal Engineer at Sun Microsystems where he was a leader in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and strategic initiatives. Dan led efforts for Sun's top customers, including Sabre and AOL and contributed to countless others. Dan was awarded "Technology Innovator of the Year" in 2005 in Arlington, VA for his work leading the development of a global messaging infrastructure for Bono and U2's worldwide Vertigo tour. Also in 2005, Dan was the lead architect for Live8's US mobile messaging infrastructure. Through his career, Dan has focused on software patterns and object-oriented technologies, working primarily in Java and Smalltalk.
He is co-author of the book "Core J2EE Patterns" and also a member of the Editorial Board of the Web 2.0 Journal. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The College of William & Mary and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Jacques Jarman - Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Jacques is Vice President, Worldwide Sales of JackBe Corporation. He oversees all aspects of JackBe’s worldwide sales efforts. Jacques brings 19 years of technology sales and sales management experience to this position.
Before joining JackBe, Jacques spent 8 years at OPNET Technologies, Inc. (OPNT), a leading provider of solutions for managing networks and applications. Jacques held several positions at OPNET, most recently, Vice President of North American Sales. As Vice President of North American Sales, Jacques managed a team of over 70 sales professionals and was responsible for close to 80% of the company’s revenue. During Jacques’ tenure, OPNET’s annual revenue grew almost 800%.
Prior to OPNET, Jacques held senior management and sales positions at Computer Associates, Advanced Visual Systems, GeoSystems and NetViz.
Jacques obtained his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Chor-Ching Fan - Vice President of Product Marketing
Chor-Ching leads Product Management, Strategic Product Marketing, and Industry Solutions for JackBe’s Enterprise Mashup Software Platform. Chor-Ching joins JackBe from Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) where he was responsible for launching global proxy voting solutions on ISS’ Governance Analytics service platform.
Prior to ISS, Chor-Ching spent eight years with GE Information Services. In his first four years, he graduated from GE’s Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP), managed key CRM and ERP projects as a Six Sigma Blackbelt, and also relocated to China to lead E-Commerce system integration projects for high tech and manufacturing companies in the Asia Pacific region. In the next four years, he held management roles in Global Marketing where he spearheaded the company’s evolution to process-based solutions and launched numerous B2B supply chain orchestration solutions that combined industry-specific EDI, XML, and BPM patterns.
Chor-Ching graduated from Virginia Tech with Bachelor’s degrees in both Accounting Information Systems and Finance and is pursuing his MBA at Johns Hopkins University.
